Sam Tanenhaus began editing The New York Times Book Review in 2004...
after holding several other positions at the Times and working as a contributing editor for Vanity Fair. His 1997 biography of Whittaker Chambers was a finalist for both the Pulitzer and the National Book Award. He is also the author of The Death of Conservatism: The Movement and Its Consequences. As a frequent contributor to morning talk shows like MSNBC's Morning Joe, he brings a quiet and stylish presence to the table, regardless of the discussion. He makes nice tonight with Evan Smith on OVERHEARD...8pm
