The premiere of KACV's newest local production is tonight at 7...and it sets the bar fairly high in the stated purpose of the show. That is to seek out fine art right here in our community, art and artists who bring something different to the conversation, and then capture some essence of that art to be shared with others...an elusive goal indeed.
The first episode brings together local talent Doug Storey and Jim Gardner with world renowned musician and composer Mike Garson for "Sonata for Clarinet," taped recently at St. Andrews Church in front of a live audience. Garson is very well known for his decades of work with David Bowie, and that influence stands out in his work...bringing the avant-garde experience to the Panhandle stretches our perceptions and interests. Perfect for artZONE.
